Stephen Ministry is a caring ministry of lay caregivers, commissioned by the Rector that helps people during difficult times or crises to experience Christ's healing love and compassion through one-on-one quality care. Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised by Stephen Ministry Leaders so they may provide care through listening, praying, support and encouraging. They receive at least 50 hours of training initially as well as continuing education and supervision during regular meetings thereafter.

As we go through life, we experience many difficult and life-changing events that we don't want to handle alone, such as

                       Illness/hospitalization

                       Bereavement

                       Marital Status/Divorce/Separation

                       Unemployment/Job Change

                       New to the Area/Moving

A Stephen Minister is a caring Christian friend who walks along side a hurting person during those times of crisis or change who will listen without judgment, in confidence as long as necessary.
