Daughters of the King, St. Clare Chapter

St. Clare Chapter of Daughters of the King meets every other Wednesday in the Parish Hall of St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. Our ministry at St. Francis is one of evangelism through prayer, study and service. We welcome all women and girls (at least 7 years old) to visit our meetings and we encourage your inquiries.

Meet our newly elected and installed officers for the next triennium: President - Rhonda Smith; Vice President - Carol Ozee; and Secretary/Treasurer - Barbara Mills.

We continue to renovate the Clare House to prepare it for use by our chapter and other parish groups as a meeting/study room. We frequently pray the Rosary of the Divine Mercy. We offer intercessory and healing prayers for others daily and at our meetings. Please contact Rhonda Smith at 817-596-5658 or other members of St. Clare Chapter for more information about Daughters of the King or to submit your confidential prayer requests.

We are in the beginning stages of forming a Junior Daughters of the King chapter for young girls from ages 7-18. Please contact Fr. Jay or one of us if you or your daughter is interested in knowing more about becoming a Junior member.

The Fort Worth Diocese Women’s Congress is October 14. We will have a Daughters of the King spiritual retreat at Camp Crucis February 23-25, 2007. Our Provincial Assembly will be April 20-22, 2007 in Dallas.

Vision Statement

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God's love throughout the world.

Who We Are

The Daughters of the King is an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, or churches in communion with it, or churches who are in the Historic Episcopate. Members undertake a Rule of Life, incorporating the Rule of Prayer and the Rule of Service. By reaffirmation of the promises made at Confirmation, a Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ's Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish.

Mission of the Order

"The object of this Order shall be the extension of Christ's Kingdom through Prayer, Service, and Evangelism."
